Digital News Production: PROMOTING WITH SOCIAL MEDIA

To promote our news channel, we decided to create a few platforms on social media websites such as a website, a Twitter page and a Facebook page. This will allow us to share our news programme and interact with our viewers, keeping them up to date with our stories and when our news programme will be on air!

I decided to take up the role of the Twitter page, and Charlie took up the role to create the website, Youtube Channel and the Facebook page.

We used a photo that Charlie took of some tree's in summer for the banner on each of our social media sites, and put the logo as our profile picture.

We wrote some tweets and status' to encourage people to like our page and post about our news piece being live on the 8th December!

I'm really pleased with the website that Charlie made, it stands out, has the logo on the top and leaves room for our stories and pictures!

In conclusion I learnt that working as a team really helps with things like this as everyone can do something and it makes the workload a lot easier!
