Digital News Production: COMPOSER

Our group decided we needed some music for our introduction to our news piece. We found that all the royalty free music wasn't exactly what we wanted and we really wanted a specific tune that would fit and even interact with our introduction.

Vic posted an advert on casting call pro on behalf of the group, looking for a composer for our news piece. We made sure that we made sure the applicants knew we didn't want something too serious and it should be able to fit with our nature theme.

Luckily we found Frazer Merrick, an applicant who really helped us out. He first wanted more information so we decided to send him our presenter footage so he could get more of a feel of what it will look and sound like together.

Frazer sent us three clips. One of the introduction, one of a short sound bed noise to come up when Samantha says 'coming up' and a second sound bed for the actual clips during the coming up part. We downloaded it and edited it with our introduction, we absolutely loved it and decided to use it.
However we only liked the introduction so didn't use the other sound clips.
